We lose the surviving member of the trio with Bob Marley and Peter Tosh: sad farewell to Bunny Wailer!

It was a long-awaited moment that would one day come. Said goodbye to us today, March 2, 2021, Bunny Wailer, legendary founder of "The Wailers" together with Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. Neville "Bunny Wailer" Livingston was part of one of Jamaica's most prolific groups. International success came with the album "Catch a Fire" and continued over the years through a beautiful solo career. Bunny won the Grammy three times. Among his main hits are "Blackheart Man" and "Dream Land". Born on April 10, 1947, in the Nine Mile district of St. Ann, Jamaica, Bunny was friends with Marley from an early age. Bob's mother, Cedella, lived with his father in Trench Town, making Bunny and Bob almost brothers. Bunny and Bob's first music lessons were given by Joe Higgs. It was also through him that they met Peter Tosh and later founded the Wailing Wailers. In Brazil, Bunny Wailer was only once, in 2014. Two previous tours were cancelled. Fans from Salvador, São Paulo, Belém and Porto Alegre got to see the legend up close with his band Solomonic Reggaestra. "Bunny Wailer was serene and highly focused. A shame, we are losing the great legends of Reggae", said Luciano Alves from Boom Produções Artísticas, responsible for bringing him in 2014. Bunny passed away at 8am at Andrews Memorial Hospital in St. Andrew, Kingston, Jamaica. He had already been attending hospitals and treatment centers due to two strokes, the most severe in July 2020. The legend was 73 years old.
