RISE UP! Danzi and her band Jahfreeka Soul present a new show at Teatro Castro Alves!

Bahian singer and songwriter Danzi and her band Jahfreeka Soul welcome the month of November by taking the show “Erga-se” to the Sala do Coro at Teatro Castro Alves, on November 1st. In this experience, the artist presents the public with relevant songs and messages about self-knowledge, feminine strength, social awareness and paths that can lead to a better future, but that need to be built in the now. Songs such as "Avante", "Erga-se", "É Tempo/The Time Is Now", "Negras Raízes" and "Evolucion Inteligente" are present in the repertoire, which reveals irreverent and unprecedented musicality from Bahia, from someone who knows what they want with music. Danzi is seen as a female representative of the highest quality in the reggae scene, where for a long time male artists have predominated. She expresses her musical mission through the rhythmic encounter between reggae, her essence, rap x soul – very present in her peculiar vocal – and jazz, subtly tempering the sound frequencies through which the band Jahfreeka Soul creates the perfect atmosphere for it to flow with conscious words, good energy and power. The show will be presented by Rafael Costa, promoter of reggae culture, producer of national and international artists, radio host and content director of the Surforeggae portal, on air since 1999. The band's technical profile includes a strong team: Lucas Fyah on guitar, Gabriel Ises on keyboards, Daniel Couto on keyboards, Wiran Genipapeiro on bass and Sandro Barret on drums. Some new songs will join the others to tune the audience to what is to come, guaranteeing tonight a celebration full of meaning, positive vibration and beauty.
